76. Filter: Concentric Gradation

This function allows you to add circular gradation. Change the number and contrast to change the shape.

Prepare an illustration you would like to add gradation to.

Open ① the Layer window, and add ② a new layer to the top.

From ① the Tool Selection window, select ② Filter.

Select ① Concentric Gradation.

① Move the slidersleft and right to adjust.

Scroll down to find ① color sliders. Drag the slider left and right to change the color. Drag ② the thumb to change the position. Tap on ③ ✓ to finish.

Once you are done adding gradation to the middle, you can add gradation around it. Open ① the Layer window, and add ② a new layer.

Launch the Concentric Gradation, and drag ① the sliders and② the thumbto create gradation outside. Tap ③ ✓ to finish.

Once you are done adding gradation around the outer, open ① the Layer window, and combine ② 2 gradations to the layer.

Once combined, open ① blend mode and select ② Add and drag ③ the opacity level slider to the left and right to adjust the opacity level.

Left is before applying gradation; right is after applying gradation. Adding gradation to the whole image changes the overall impression of the artwork.
