There are several ways to transfer data between devices in ibis Paint.
Using Dropbox: data transferring on Dropbox is easy to understand. It can be done using a telephone line, but we recommend using WiFi especially if you have many works to transfer. The transfer is only for the artwork file.
Using SD card on Android: Copy artwork files over using an SD card. Both devices (i.e., device that contains the data and the device to be copied to) must run on Android.
Using PC on iOS: Copy artwork files using iTunes. Both devices (i.e., device that contains the data and the device to be copied to) must run on iOS.
Here, we will explain how to transfer files between iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) using PC (or Mac). Unlike Dropbox, this method allows the user to back up large numbers of artwork files (IPV), without using online connection.
First, install and run iTunes on your PC. Then, connect your device to your PC with a USB cable.
Select ① Device on the top of the screen.
Select the ① Share Files tab.
Scroll down at the lower right section in the ① File Sharing tab; select ② ibis Paint X from the Apps section. Next, ③ select multiple artwork files (IPV). Use Ctrl+click or Shift+click to select multiple files.
If you place your mouse outside the Apps section and the Files section, and scroll down, you can select ① Save to... to save the files onto your PC. Alternatively, you can save the Artwork Files (IPV) onto your PC by dragging and dropping multiple selected files.
A dialog box showing folders and files on your PC will appear after selecting "Save to"; select a location and click ① Select Folder to copy the artwork files (IPV) to your PC.
To restore the files, connect the target device to your PC with a USB cable, start iTunes, and then click Device > File Sharing > scroll down to select ibis Paint X in the App section > scroll further down to select ① Add File...
After selecting Add File, a dialog box showing folders on your PC will appear. Select the ① Artwork Files (IPV) that were backed up earlier, and then click ② Open; the Artwork Files (IPV) will then be copied to your device.
