ibisPaint allows you to configure palm rejection behavior when drawing with Apple Pencil, stylus pen, or pen tablet.
This example shows how to set up palm rejection with the Apple Pencil.
Tap ①[ Back ] and select ②[ Settings ].
The "Settings Window" will open. Select ④[ Hover ] from the pull-down menu under ③[ Palm Rejection ].
By setting Palm Rejection to "hover," all non-Apple Pencil operations will be ignored when the Apple Pencil is hovering or drawing. This is useful to prevent accidental finger or palm manipulation while drawing.
Apple Pencil 1st generation does not support hover; hover is only available for Apple Pencil (Pro, USB-C, 2nd generation) if you are using any iPad model released after 2022 (except iPad Air 5th generation and iPad 10th generation).
①[ None ] … both finger and stylus pen can be used to control the screen and draw on the canvas.
②[ Hover ] … When the stylus pen is hovering or touching the screen, you cannot operate the screen with your finger and draw on the canvas.
③[ Canvas ] … Only the stylus pen is limited to drawing on the canvas. Screen operations can be performed with both the stylus pen and your finger.
④[ Driver ] … The ability to operate the screen and draw on the canvas is limited to the stylus pen only. Screen operations and canvas drawing cannot be performed with a finger.
The action items displayed in the Palm Rejection pull-down menu vary depending on the type of Apple Pencil, stylus pen, or pen tablet you are using.

The "Settings Window" can also be opened from the home screen under ⑤[ Settings ].
