The Stabilizer function reduces the wobble in lines drawn freehand and turns them into smooth lines.
Stabilizer and Fade settings can be shared by all brushes, or set for each brush individually.
Tap the ①[ Stabilizer ] button on the toolbar to open the Stabilizer window.
①[ Set for Current Brush ] … If you change the settings while this is ON, they are applied only to the brush you currently have selected. When it is OFF, the shared settings for all brushes are changed.
②[ Method ] … Choose Real Time or After. Real Time corrects the line right as you draw it, and After corrects the line when you lift the pen.
When Real Time is selected, you can turn ON ③[ Use Legacy Stabilization ] to go back to the Real Time method used in version 14.0.11 and earlier.
With Real Time, you can combine two types of correction, "Constant" and "Fast Strokes", to adjust the drawing feel to your liking. For both, a higher value gives stronger correction, and no correction is applied when set to "OFF".
④[ Constant ] … Corrects lines at the same strength at all times, regardless of how fast you move the pen.
⑤[ Fast Strokes ] … The faster you move the pen, the stronger the correction.
When After is selected, choose the correction strength with the ⑥[ Stabilizer ] slider. Lines are not corrected while you draw. When you lift the pen, the whole line is smoothed out.
①[ Set for Current Brush ] … If you change the settings while this is ON, the Fade settings are applied only to the brush you currently have selected. When it is OFF, the shared Fade settings for all brushes are changed.
②[ Force Fade ] … Turn this ON to set the Start Length, End Length and Fade Shape.
③[ Start Length ] … Sets how long it takes the line to go from thin to its full width at the start of the stroke.
④[ End Length ] … Sets how long it takes the line to go from its full width to thin at the end of the stroke.
Fade Shape lets you choose how the line width changes. With ⑤[ Smooth ], the line gradually tapers with a rounded curve, giving it a rounded tip. With ⑥[ Linear ], the line tapers straight at a constant rate, giving it a sharp, pointed tip.
You can also set the Stabilizer and Fade for each brush from the Brush Window.
Open the ①[ Brush Window ], and tap the ②[ panel switch button ] of the brush you want to set.
Tap ③[ Fade ] to show ④[ Custom Force Fade ], or tap ⑤[ Settings ] to show ⑥[ Custom Stabilizer Settings ]. Turn them ON to change the settings for that brush only.
