With the Rounded Rectangle, you can easily draw rectangles with rounded corners.
It is useful for drawing shapes with rounded corners, such as smartphone screens, buttons and labels.
Select ①[ Rounded Rectangle ] in the Shape Tool window, and adjust the roundness of the corners with ②[ Radius ].
The radius is set as a percentage (1–50%) of the length of the shorter side. At 50%, both ends of the shorter sides become semicircles.
③[ Drag ] on the canvas to draw a rounded rectangle.
For how to open the Shape Tool window and for common settings such as Draw Line by Brush and Fill, see "Shape Tool".
After drawing a rounded rectangle, tap the ①[ Edit shape ] button at the top of the screen.
Drag the ②[ yellow handle ] to change the roundness of the corners even after drawing.
Even if you change the size by dragging the ③[ handles ], the roundness of the corners does not change.
If you make the shape so small that the rounded corners no longer fit, the roundness is reduced automatically.
Select ①[ Rounded Rectangle ] in the Shape Tool, and turn on ②[ Fill ] and ③[ Fill with Current Color ].
Draw the outer rounded rectangle in black and the inner one in white, one inside the other. Making the radius of the inner rounded rectangle slightly smaller than the outer one gives a more natural look.
Set the ④[ Radius ] to 50% and draw a thin rounded rectangle near the top in black to easily create a smartphone.
Draw the inner rounded rectangle closer to the top, then select ⑤[ Circle ] in the Shape Tool and draw a circle in white in the space below to create a smartphone with a home button.
Select ⑥[ Transform ] in the Tool Select Window and add an angle with ⑦[ Perspective Form ] to make the smartphone look more three-dimensional.
